Special Events: Future Programs Multi-Media Art Presentation This multi-media happening will include five forms of artistic expression. The simultaneous stage presentation will use the venue of artistic expression by which musicians, dancers, artists and poets will perform within specific, symbolic architectural forms as cadres. A number of critical turning points in Haitian history, starting with the initial sale of Africans into slavery, will serve as spiritual guideposts identified by a Haitian historian. A dramatist will use the information from the historian to write a script that will encompass the various art forms to express these spiritual landmarks. The musicians will create the musical pieces that will then be choreographed and danced to the dancers. The artists will create a backdrop that will be a tapestry of sculpture, painting, ironwork and the written word.
